Rules
1. No harrassing staff or players, be you an accepted member of the RPG or a hopeful applicant. You know what harass means.
2. Only TWO powered characters per player, as long as they are on separate factions and the player is not on probation for lack of activity. The NPCs controlled by one player can be numerous, and if the plot calls for a non-senshi side character to be created and played regularly, then someone with a senshi may do that, too. [Note from Laris -- I see here that I didn't specify how the two-character allowance works, I apologize. Players who are *already* accepted and have posted regularly are free to apply for a second character, sans writing sample. Sorry for any confusion this may have caused. ^_^;]
3. This RPG is rated.. well, somewhere between PG-13 and R. If it were a TV series, it would be shown on HBO, as KJ says. ^_^ Please avoid anything in blatantly poor taste when you're writing, making references to badness that happens "off-screen" is fine. We're all big girls and boys here, we should know when and when not to include swearing, sexual themes and violets. (Uh, Laris.. that's "violence".) Oh, right. And violence. -_-;
4. Please keep anachronisms to an absolute minimum. The owner/GM is a lot of things (*cough*) but she sure a heck isn't a history expert, so she's not going to argue with you if a certain kind of clothing or farming tool or whatever had been invented yet. But if we start seeing Atlanteans bopping around with discmans or Earthbound Clans that train warriors in the ancient art of Flamethrowers, we're gonna have words.
5. Full-length reviews of applications that need revision will not be posted on the Results page - only a summary of the points that need help. Your app is your business and the reviewers' business until you choose to post it publicly, and we don't want anyone to feel singled out for criticism. If you want the full-length critique of your app, with comments from all the reviewers, request it and we'll email it to you.
6. Organizing stories and OOC mingling is done on the SM:G message board. Accepted players will get an email instructing them on how to join it. ^_^
7. Okay, I'll say this up front: Rule #7 springs from a personal pet-peeve of mine. This *should* be common sense to most good roleplayers, but just so we're clear... If you apply for a character a certain way, and get accepted, then decide to play your character a totally different way whenever you decide it's convenient (i.e., ignoring personality flaws, reverting to a different concept for the char because we wouldn't accept it that way), I will HUNT YOU DOWN. Your accepted application is a contract, of sorts, between you and the game. If you don't follow it, you've broken the promise made between both parties, you've lost credibility, and just done an all-around naughty thing. If you're seen doing this to a disruptive degree, Laris will yank you aside and ask you why you've chosen to break her widdle heart by doing the thing she hates most. And you'd better have an answer ready. Ahem, moving on.
8. No feeding small children to Kaeria. You'll only encourage her.
