Joining the Game

Yay! We love applications. The Acolytes are needing some serious love.

Note from Laris as of 1.16.02 - While pictures are appreciated, I humbly ask that applicants *not* send us any more attached files, as our mailbox quota is nearly reached. Send us a link and we'll love you forever. Thanks!

If all the sections of the application are not completed, or you applied for a character not on the cast list, we'll have no choice but to auto-reject you! You wouldn't want that. We wouldn't want that. Make sure you got eeeverything 'fore you send it in, 'kay?

Results of all submissions will be posted on the loverly Results page.

Da quick rundown of rulesies:

1. Your character may be dark and mysterious, but you CAN'T BE DARK AND MYSTERIOUS AT THE REVIEWERS. You have to divulge your whole past, and all your senshi capabilities to us. You can hide whatever you darn well please from the other players. ^_-
2. Speling and punctuashon are vitaly importent when applieing.
3. Rules of Grammar is important, to.

Before proceeding, it should be noted that if you're relatively new to this sort of RPG, or are unsure what we're looking for, please read over the existing character profiles, such as Pazuzu (for Primals) or Nabu (for Astrals) to see what kind of detail level and writing skill we're looking for. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to e-mail staff or check out the forum.

And now, on to the application templates, yeee!

[Senshi Application Template] [Villain Application Template]

2.7.01 - We've added this list of articles by staff and players. Be warned, there is ranting up ahead. But odds are, one of these articles will save you time, effort, and QUITE POSSIBLY YOUR LIFE. So for Marduk's sake, read the ones that pertain to your faction at LEAST.

Still having trouble writing your app? Check out the following resources:

  • RPG de Freak: Excellent SM RPG resource, especially the 'application hints', 'cliches', and 'lesser used weapons' articles.
  • BabyCenter.com: Or rather, their search-by-meaning name lookup. Very useful indeed.
  • Babynamer.com: Names by category. Not as extensive as some others, however. Endorsed by Oprah! O_o;
  • Babynames.com: Getting confused yet? ^_^ Search by meaning as well as name, has some nice unique ones.
  • Eponym.org: By far the coolest name information site in the history of the world.
  • Encyclopedia Mythica: Information on Mesopotamian mythology. Keep in mind, though, that all senshi are very loose interpretations of these deities.
  • AstrologyGuide.com: Extensive articles on zodiac signs.
