Three years of upgrades and tweaks took its toll and the database basically frustrated me to the point of no return.  Experiment failed; I got it, we're cool.

With that being said, there will still be a portal and a gallery (notice, if you will, how the forum is Seiryuu's front page), they'll just be SMF-specific mods -- hopefully that will solve the crappy problems we had with registration emails and captcha shit not showing up and blah blah blah blah.

I'm also installing a couple of mods to try and make it easier for guests/new people to get involved without provoking the wrath of pr0nbots; we'll see how that works.

Right now, old posts are gone.  It was three years of garbage.  Yes, you have to re-register.  SORRY!

The old forum is still (and will still be) up at http://www.seiryuu.org/forums/.  I've learned my lesson, I'm not getting rid of it.  I'm not completely retarded.  XD

I will painstakingly move old posts to the new forum (which means my post count will be FIERCE).

The good news is that registration and captcha both work just fine -- I'm very pleased.  I'm still fiddling with settings, and I haven't imported any of the flash games yet for the new version of Arcade.  There will be new skins once I have all the mods in that I'd like, because with SMF you have to add mods on every skin individually, and I have an SSC raid tonight (SORRY SUCKERS).

You will notice that there is an 'archived games' category.  All of the old game categories will go and live here *unless you tell me otherwise*. 

Moderators will be added once y'all remake your accounts.  The built-in gallery is pretty sweet, too; I swear to god it's the last time y'all will have to upload the same pictures.  I AM FIXING IT, I PROMISE.

I'll be able to answer emails after raid tonight, and all day at work tomorrow.  Please see me with any questions.

Okay, registration SORT OF works just fine: since seiryuu is not a known mail provider, hotmail and yahoo both consider the registration mails spam.  I've manually activated Z, Ree, and hepcat -- but fair warning that you should prooooobably change your registered emails to gmail or !yahoo|!hotmail ones whenever you can.  Or just never forget your passwords.

MANUAL ACTIVATION IS LOVE. However, the activation e-mail did not even appear in my junk mail folder, as I expected it to. It did not appear ANYWHERE. This is why we need Cals in our lives. For manual activation, and/or [manual activation]. That last part is also why I need your mom in my life (and your sister why not, TAKING IT UP A NOTCH).

Yeah, because Seiryuu is a personal domain and thus easily spoofed, it's probably  blocked by yahoo and hotmail at their server level.  Which blows.

I'm not seeing any links to the actual RPG pages on here, which is not a problem for me but possibly a problem for n00bs! This may already be on your "to do" list. Alternately, they are here and I am totally missing them. Thirdly, maybe something else. But I am aiming to be a helpful Z so I mention it here!
