    August 26, 2010, 08:09:11 PM
  • Kiya: The card game of the beast.
    August 23, 2010, 06:48:18 PM
  • Valentine: suuuuuuck iiiiiit.
    August 23, 2010, 04:24:27 PM
  • Valentine: Oh yes.  Oh yes.
    August 23, 2010, 04:24:15 PM
  • Cal: 666 on Solitaire, Val?  REALLY?
    August 23, 2010, 07:02:45 AM
  • Cal: :D :D :D
    August 18, 2010, 06:17:20 PM
  • Desnik: holy crap, Cal, how did you beat 12 feet?
    August 18, 2010, 04:46:57 PM
  • Cal: Yes.  Totally demonic urn-exploding powers.
    August 18, 2010, 06:11:35 AM
  • Kiya: Ah, the horrible distraction of the shiny things.
    August 17, 2010, 08:50:18 PM
  • Valentine: I totally would've topped my best score agh.
    August 17, 2010, 07:24:49 PM
  • Valentine: I was on an amazing run with my highests score yet for where I was and I got distracted and spent all my moves nooooooo
    August 17, 2010, 07:24:38 PM
  • Valentine: no dammit agh
    August 17, 2010, 07:24:16 PM
  • Valentine: Also, one ofthe AoJ sound effects is something I recognize from Sarah Haskins videos, so it makes me laugh.
    August 17, 2010, 07:15:36 PM
  • Valentine: So there's only eight levels, right?  And you and Squid just have demonic powers.
    August 17, 2010, 07:01:53 PM
  • Valentine: Yes.
    August 17, 2010, 07:01:40 PM
  • Kiya: Blowing up the pretty things is so distracting.
    August 17, 2010, 07:01:28 PM
  • Mad Mabley: Sometimes in AoJ, I'll get all into it and forget to finish the last block I'd been saving.  ><
    August 15, 2010, 09:02:53 PM
  • Desnik: :DDD <3
    August 12, 2010, 06:36:49 PM
  • Cal: Desnik, I am shaking my fist at you SO HARD.
    August 12, 2010, 07:15:46 AM
  • Kiya: Most plurals aren't as bad a problem as "cronies" was because dropping the S still leads to a word.  But.
    August 09, 2010, 03:29:58 PM
  • Cal: I am sad about the plurals too, those are my standard go-to words. XD
    August 09, 2010, 06:39:04 AM
  • Mad Mabley: I haven't found they allow any plurals. =/
    August 08, 2010, 06:54:59 PM
  • Kiya: I would do better at Bookworm if its database recognised things like "cronies".
    August 07, 2010, 07:09:00 PM
  • Kiya: The short answer is: spend the early levels collecting brooms, spend the late levels using brooms.
    August 06, 2010, 11:22:20 AM
  • Kiya: To be fair I got a really good endrun, but even so.
    August 06, 2010, 11:21:23 AM
  • Cal: I can't even conceive of how you did it.
    August 06, 2010, 10:35:20 AM
  • Kiya: I am confident that I can hold AoJ for a little while though.
    August 06, 2010, 10:19:08 AM
  • Kiya: My previous top score was ten points below Squid's.  That made me very cranky.
    August 06, 2010, 10:18:37 AM
  • Cal: Whatever, you have 60k on AoJ!  That is INSANE.
    August 06, 2010, 10:11:02 AM
  • * Kiya shakes her tiny fist.
    August 06, 2010, 10:07:17 AM
  • Kiya: Cal did not take it back, you took it from me.  Cal took it FROM.  And then you took it back from Cal.
    August 06, 2010, 10:07:02 AM
  • Mad Mabley: I got lucky with spelling the bonus words
    August 06, 2010, 09:59:51 AM
  • Cal: ...However, you will probably stand for some time with that 20k. XD
    August 06, 2010, 09:58:26 AM
  • Cal: I have a vast array of three-letter words at my disposal!
    August 06, 2010, 09:57:42 AM
  • Mad Mabley: Touche, sir!
    August 06, 2010, 09:40:36 AM
  • Cal: I am making the saddest sad face right now, you don't even know.
    August 06, 2010, 06:39:55 AM
  • Mad Mabley: There we go. All is as it should be. =)
    August 05, 2010, 11:27:14 PM
  • Mad Mabley: I took Bookworm lately but someone took it back.  *eyes Cal*
    August 05, 2010, 11:21:12 PM
  • Mad Mabley: Ha ha, trashfit. :P
    August 05, 2010, 11:20:59 PM
  • Cal: :D
    August 05, 2010, 06:40:45 PM
  • Kiya: I am bemused by getting a notification that I had been surpassed in Bookworm and look at the arcade shoutbox and see Cal having some kind of thrashfit at it.
    August 05, 2010, 03:56:13 PM
  • Desnik: You're right! There's still hope!
    August 04, 2010, 12:47:19 PM
  • Cal: There's still two and a half meters to go for a perfect score!
    August 04, 2010, 12:44:31 PM
  • Desnik: nothing is safe! Icicle Climb was taken away from me XD
    August 04, 2010, 12:41:31 PM
  • Cal: I unfortunately do not have the patience to play Winter Bells that long, I think your record is safe there. XD
    August 04, 2010, 12:40:48 PM
  • Desnik: (<3)
    August 04, 2010, 12:40:44 PM
  • Desnik: I do look forward to the exponentially ridiculous scores sure to come from Winter Bells.
    August 04, 2010, 12:38:37 PM
  • Desnik: Big Money? Fine, whatever. But, ICICLE CLIMB? Not even five minutes later? Sheesh.

Hello and welcome to Seiryuu dot Org!

Seiryuu is an RPG resource, directory and discussion forum. Users and administrators of all stripes are welcome, but our particular focus is on experienced roleplayers and on the joys and challenges of self-hosting.

What does Seiryuu offer you?
  • A sensible and friendly administration with a combined forty years of experience owning and operating RPGs, online and off.
  • On-tap advice from seasoned art and web development professionals.
  • A searchable, taggable RPG directory. It's never been easier to find just the game you're looking for, or to get your ad seen by the right players.
  • A random advertisement spotlight: the more people browse, the more likely they are to see your ad.
  • Thoughtful discussion of everything from the nitty-gritty to the ephemera of running and playing on RPGs (as well as video games, television, food and cats).
  • A gallery for your art and graphics, RPG-related or otherwise.
  • An arcade that will dramatically decrease your productivity at work.

Our goal at Seiryuu is to foster an open, supportive community, get good ideas and sound advice to the people who need and want them, improve the online roleplaying experience for everyone -- and have fun!

(Sorry about your work productivity. We warned you.)

I'm still working on the following things:

1) A new intro for the front page that's more appropriate to the mission statement
2) Front-page affiliates listing
3) Guidelines for Character Construction and Structural Support forums
4) And something I'm really excited about: a random spotlight in the sidebar with a button and ad link for advertisers with X number of posts (what sounds good, 50?), but viewable by everyone.

Anyone have any other suggestions?  <3...

Seiryuu is undergoing some restructuring in order to fill a niche as the premier RPG resource run by and for grown-ups, with a focus on self-hosted forum RPGs, though of course all administrators and users are welcome.

Aside from our normal community resources such as the chat and arcade, we will also provide a place for user graphics portfolios, a randomized spotlight button for users with 50 or more posts, and thought provoking discussion on the basics of web design for forums, and code tutorials to make your RP shine.

If you have suggestions for things you'd like to see in an RPG resource, please reply here!  Now is a great time to get in on the ground floor....
